Roland Mayhew: Director
Roland is himself a professional artist with over 35 years experience
of working in the public eye. Having started with his own Big Band Sound
of 19 members in 1972, he quickly progressed to manage other bands, groups & artistes
as an entertainment agent in until 1985 when he gave it all up for personal
reasons.
Though the big band sound was and is still a personal favourite, he
has relinquished all professional ties with them mainly due to time and
effort limitations & after his mainstay and good friend Mr. Peter
George retired.
Roland has worked all over the UK to date personally and with many of
his own team of artistes - many of whom have become close friends.
Roland still appears regularly at many functions… Mainly because
he still gets the biggest thrill from entertaining.
In fact, he has an up and coming booking this coming November in Canada.
Roland has been working with corporate clients since 1972 in one capacity
or another and has ran thousands of events ranging from weddings, corporate
events, charity events, local government run festivals, clubs and private
events.
Clients include Barclays, Personal Solutions, Mercedes, BT, EMI, M & S,
Asda, Reg Varley Volvo, countless golf clubs. Indeed the list is endless
as one would expect after 35 years!
Roland prides himself on the many thousands of pounds he has raised for
various charities, and countless more pounds he has enabled others to
raise through one of his many Fundraisers. He feels a new door has been
opened with the extremely popular Texas Hold ‘em – made so
very popular in recent times by the regular TV coverage.
These nights guarantee the Cause to raise at least £1000 - £1500
on the night for the chosen charity! Whilst offering very good incentives
or Prizes to the winners, from 42 inch Plasma televisions to 14 day all
expense paid holidays for two in Las Vegas & Monte Carlo. Indeed
he says that many event organisers work in close conjunction with him
and are endlessly putting forward new idea’s and prizes to offer
as incentives to raise funds for their chosen charities.
